They are all individual. The family cottage has a loft with two extra single beds. No. 3 can have single beds.
We have staff onsite between 7.30am and 9pm. During the night we only have security staff. If you plan a late arrival, please let us know.
Yes, you can. It’s 135 USD and you can add that to your reservation when booking. The drive is about 2.5 hours.
We are about 100 km, or 60 miles, from Port of Spain. The drive is about 3 hours on a good day.
No. We are about 100 meters / 300 feet from the beach, but it is visible from the property. So is the river that floats by.
It’s actually not so hot. We have fans and the river cools the area down. Also we try to save on electricity and make our environmental footprint as small as possible.
We see mostly birds. Sometimes we see mongoose. At night we can see small bats and locust (grasshoppers) However we are located between the rain forest and the sea so anything could appear.
Yes. We have mosquito nets, Neem oil and citronella candles in the cottages. If you are very sensitive, bring a mosquito repellent you feel comfortable with. Wear light coloured, loose fitting clothing, long sleeved shirts and long pants, hats, and socks.
No. There are three smaller shops/kiosks which have a smaller assortment of goods.
Yes. It’s a small village where everyone knows each other. We have security staff during the night.
The turtle season is from March – September. You need a guide to enter the beach between 6pm and 6am. The price for the permit to enter the beach is different for locals and foreigners. We get the permits for you and add the cost to your bill.
Locals: Kids under 12 are free. 12 and up are 25 TTD per person.
Foreigners: Kids under 5 are free. 5 to 11 are 55 TTD, and 12 and up are 95 TTD per person.
